Our Story

Where it started

Palmyra Greenhouse started quite literally with a greenhouse.

What began as a love of growing flowers quickly turned into something more. I started growing sunflowers and other blooms right here in Palmyra, creating arrangements and sharing them with friends, family and eventually customers. What started small continued to grow… one bouquet, one customer and one crazy idea at a time.

I’ve always loved creating things that are a little different. Flowers gave me the perfect way to do that. No two stems are exactly alike, and I’ve never believed arrangements should be either. From the very beginning, creating something personal and one-of-a-kind has been at the heart of Palmyra Greenhouse.

I certainly didn’t know then where those first flowers would lead. I just knew I loved creating them.

Then Came Rosie

In 2021, everything changed when a red 1953 Ford truck came into my life.

She needed a little love and a purpose. After some work, she became Rosie, my mobile flower truck, and Palmyra Greenhouse suddenly had a whole new way to bring flowers into the community.

What started as an idea to take flowers on the road quickly became one of the most recognizable parts of the business. Rosie began popping up at local businesses, wineries, community events and private celebrations, filled with buckets of fresh flowers where guests could build their own bouquets.

Over the years, Rosie has introduced me to countless customers, businesses and friends throughout Central PA. She’s even inspired her own children’s book, Rosie & Friends: Adventures of a Flower Truck.

She may have started as an old truck looking for a second chance, but somehow, Rosie helped Palmyra Greenhouse find its next chapter too.

Where We Are Today

What started with flowers grown in a greenhouse and grew with a little red truck has become something bigger than I ever imagined.

Today, Palmyra Greenhouse is a full-service floral design studio creating custom florals for weddings, celebrations, sympathy, businesses and everyday moments throughout Central PA. From a single bouquet to a room filled with flowers, every design is created specifically for the person, place or moment it’s meant for.

Weddings and events have become an especially exciting part of what I do. I love taking an idea and bringing it to life through flowers… from bridal bouquets and centerpieces to large-scale installations and all of those little details that make a celebration feel completely personal.

Rosie is still very much along for the ride, bringing the build-your-own-bouquet experience to pop-ups, private parties and community events. Workshops, collaborations and special projects have become part of the story too.

Through all the growth, one thing hasn’t changed: I never want Palmyra Greenhouse to feel like a place where you simply pick an arrangement from a catalog. Flowers should feel personal. Whether I’m designing one bouquet or hundreds of centerpieces, I want what I create for you to feel like it was made for you, because it was.

And somehow, after all these years, I still get excited every time I walk into the studio and see buckets full of flowers waiting to become something.

Meet Jessica

Hi, I’m Jessica - the owner, designer, flower buyer, bucket washer, delivery driver and pretty much everything else behind Palmyra Greenhouse.

What started as a creative outlet has somehow turned into a career I absolutely love. I get to spend my days surrounded by flowers, meeting incredible people and creating things for some of the biggest - and sometimes hardest - moments in their lives. I don’t take that lightly.

I’m happiest when someone gives me a little creative freedom and lets me make something that feels completely their own. I love beautiful flowers, unexpected details and designs that don't look like they came straight out of a catalog.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me with my husband (my high school sweetheart), our family, or probably drinking coffee and coming up with another idea that seemed much simpler in my head. 😂

After all these years, I still can’t quite believe that I get to call this my job.
